Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on the 8th of November, 1967) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She also appeared as Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mom , as well as a Therapist. They divorced at the age of seven. Courtney was just seven. She was with both parents at different stages. Jennifer her older sister is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended Menlo-Atherton High School located situated in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in 1985. In the high school, she also was a member of the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne-Smith was the first actress to make an appearance in the movie drama Lucas along with Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. In the 80s, she was a part of in numerous films like Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II : Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (87) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared as an actor in the box office movie Chairman Of The Bank, which failed with Carrot Top. She appeared in Sorority Wars in 2009. In the beginning of the 1990s, Thorne Smith began a relationship with Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple broke up in January 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Zizo Group, a marketing company) and the author of What I Know was her wedding date. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008, at 40 years old.
