 Adar Gandelsman (Hebrew Adr gndlsmn) is an Israeli beauty pageant titleholder and model. Adar was Miss Israel 2017's first third-place winner, winning the title of Miss Universe Israel. She was also a contestant in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Adar competed at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas, but did not win. The pageant was a success, and Gandelsman took a selfie with Sarah Idan, Miss Universe Iraq that year. Idan and her family fled Iraq in 2017 because of protests from Iraqi citizens. Gandelsman took a picture together with Miss Israel. Gandelsman is an indigenous of Ashkelon, Israel. Her parents were Ashkenazi Jews who arrived in Israel in 1992 from Brazil.
